Blockchain Art is digtal art that's been put on the Ethereum platform. It allows an artist to mint a limited supply of digital prints. Basically, it's like a limited edition print on canvas or paper except in digital form. In addition, each piece of art that's been put on the Ethereum blockchain has an immutable record of the artwork's history.
It's actually really easy to own. TABUART walks you through all of the neccessary steps to owning Blockchain Art
Since it's been put on the Ethereum platform, there is an immutable record of the art itself. That means there's a record of the token associated with that artwork that cannot be changed unless it's been sold.

Blockchain art adds value to your life the same way that traditional art would. Looking at a stunning piece of artwork that you enjoy can have several benefits. Check out this blog post on some of the health benefits of artwork.
Blockchain art is relatively new, but given that blockchain technology is based on a world-wide decentralized network of computers, it's likely to be around for decades or even longer.
If the artwork has high perceived value by several users in the marketplace, it will most likely gain value. Typically things that are rare or limited will increase in value over time. That being said, there's no way to guarantee that it will go up in value so make sure you're buying artwork based on what you like as opposed to buying it with the sole intention of trying to make money on re-listing it.
When you purchase artwork from TABU Art, that record of purchase is permanently recorded on the blockchain. After that, you will be able to access your brand new artwork through your Collector's Vault. We keep it safe and ready to access, so you'll never accidentally lose or delete the file.
When buying an NFT regardless of the payment method being used, there is a gas fee required to complete the transaction. In some cases, the amount of gas that is used is less than what we anticipated. When you buy with a credit card, we place a hold on your card for the full amount plus the estimated gas fee cost. Once the blockchain transaction completes, we capture the funds from your card minus the amount of unused gas. So for example, if you purchased artwork for $100 and the gas fee was $5, we would put a hold on your card for $105. Once we've detected that the blockchain transaction completed, we check to see how much gas was actually used and we see that only $3.50 of that gas fee was used. We would then capture the payment in the amount of $103.50 instead of the full $105, essentially refunding you $1.50 for unused gas.
